I am interested in coastal processes and settings sensitive to sea level rise, human use, and climate change. I have worked in Florida, Texas, and now in the Arctic. Since April 2012, I've been working toward a PhD degree at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research in Potsdam. The goal of my project is to find out what happens to sediments and carbon once they are released into nearshore waters by coastal erosion. My project is part of the Helmholtz Young Investigator Group Arctic permafrost erosion and carbon release (COPER).
